Maria Trading® conducted workshop, presentation & socially responsible activities at Sharjah wisdom house in collaboration with Bee’ah in the last months. The workshop is presented by Fatima Humaid Abdalla Saho Alusuwaidi, officer-outreach, Bee’ah. As a part of the workshop, an awareness session and activity session was conducted; The employees were shown a presentation empowering them to bring about a behavioral change in society by adopting the eco-friendly approach of the 5 R’s – Respect, Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and become ‘Earth Savers’. We have taken another golden step to a sustainable future and started actively working on developing collaboration with UAE private enterprises and government organizations that has demonstrated the highest levels of commitment to sustainability.

Nowadays the issue of policy alignment at the waste interface is becoming an increasingly prominent issue, 
especially in many developed countries. A lack of alignment of waste management policies has been reported to sometimes hamper material recovery. It has also led to the reuse of material containing hazardous substances that have been recognized as being of concern for human health or the environment or the release of hazardous substances from recycling operations. This workshop aimed to foster a discussion on real-world policy misalignment at the waste Interface in order to identify and review the recycling options, or already applied, solutions.
